More BBC Sessions by The Move

オリジナルムーヴを見られたひとは幸運なり

　しばらく間隔が開いてしまいましたが、anythingshouldhappenでダウンロードしてきた音源です。繰り返しておくと、このブログは現在プライベートモードに入っているそうで、通常のアクセスはできません。私にお手伝いできることがあるかどうかはともかく、アクセスしたい方は御連絡下さい。
　なお、このタイトルはThe MOVE - Unreleased BBC 1968/ 1970というタイトルでリリースされている可能性もあり、御興味のある方はいろいろサーチしてみて下さい。

　トラックリストは下の方に示してあるので、とりあえずそっちをご覧下さい。MoveのBBCセッションは、（セミ？）オフィシャルで出ているのがThe BBC SessionsというCDで、ブートレッグがBlack Country Rockという品物。このふたつはほとんどが重なっていて、1曲が違うだけのようです（ちなみに、Black Country Rockもネット上に転がっているように思います）。今回入手した音源も同じなのかなと思ったら、かなり珍しい音が入っているようであり、「こういうの」が好きなひとなら跳んで喜ぶような品かも知れません。
　スローなI Can Hear The Grass Growとかも面白いのですが、なかでも驚いたのは、Idle RaceのThe Birthdayをカバーしていたことで、これ、最初はIdle Raceのバージョンが間違えて紛れ込んだのかと何度か聴き直したほどでした。
　正直、音質はお勧めとは到底言い難いものではありますが、当時Moveがこうやって生演奏でハーモニーを決めていたというのは一聴の価値があります。レコードとしては1枚しか残っていない初期Moveですが、「あのラインナップがベスト」と語っていたCarl Wayneの言葉もうなずけます。
